No-Cost Legal Advice & Direct Representation

As a nonprofit provider, Lee County Legal Aid Society offers a team of attorneys that provide legal advice and direct representation in select cases for those who can’t afford costly legal services.

  • Advice or counsel consists of a one-hour phone consultation with an attorney about your case. Attorneys may also be able to assist with filling out forms and drafting documents for individuals representing themselves pro se (without an attorney).
  • Direct representation means an attorney will be assigned to your case and represent you at all court hearings and proceedings.

Protecting Lee County’s Quality of Life

Our community faces many challenges that impact residents in critical areas such as housing, employment and safety. When residents can’t afford to pay for legal services, Lee County Legal Aid Society provides the critical legal support necessary to help them avoid homelessness, gain employment and keep them safe from harm. There are no fees for any Legal Aid services.

In many cases, without qualified legal support, public services must step in. Not only is this a last resort solution for the individuals involved, but their challenges also become a strain on taxpayers. By proactively helping people with their legal needs, Lee County Legal Aid Society and its supporters are protecting the quality of life for everyone in Lee County.
